Wedding Florist Cotswolds
Case Study: Charlotte and Curt's Blackwell Grange Wedding
When Charlotte and Curt started dreaming of their perfect wedding, the style they were after felt ‘organic and luxurious’; their chosen venue, Blackwell Grange in idyllic Cotswolds set the scene for a day of elegance and grace, with thoughtfully selected flowers. I was thrilled to provide wedding flowers in Cotswolds for this fantastic couple.
Venue: Blackwell Grange, Cotswolds
Blackwell Grange, a sought-after venue in the Cotswolds, hosted Charlotte and Curt’s wedding. A combination of rustic character with contemporary elegance makes this venue perfect for our floral design on the Thatch Barn and Orchard Barn. The neutral tones and natural textures within the space provided a stunning backdrop to enhance the floral theme of this couple.
This was a ceremony held in the enchanting Barn. The stone fire surround, with its rustic stonework, was used as a base for a cascading floral display of white roses, hydrangeas, eucalyptus, and pampas grass. These soft hues created a timeless, romantic atmosphere.
To enhance the aisle, each chair was adorned with sage chiffon sashes and clusters of gypsophila. Glass hurricane lanterns with glowing pillar candles lined the floor, creating the perfect walkway for Charlotte. The natural, botanical-inspired arrangements blended seamlessly with the venue’s rustic charm, reflecting the talent of an experienced wedding florist in the Cotswolds.
Bridal Party Blooms
Charlotte’s bouquet was the real showstopper: a mix of white roses, dahlias, lisianthus, eucalyptus, and pampas grass in a cascading design that complemented her sleek, modern gown. The bridesmaids carried similar arrangements, tied with sage green ribbons, their soft green dresses blending seamlessly with the floral palette.
Classic buttonholes of white roses and eucalyptus adorned Curt and his groomsmen with refinement, marrying the entire bridal party together.
Cotswold Reception Flower Styling
The Orchard Barn, light and airy, hosted the reception, which was a botanical wonderland. The round tables were dressed in sage runners, crystal clear charger plates, and a lush floral centrepiece. The tall arrangements on sleek glass stands featured hydrangeas, roses, and eucalyptus that drew the eye to the barn’s high ceilings, while low arrangements paired with pillar candles provided a warm glow to each table.
The sweetheart table was graced with a spilling floral garland that made a breathtaking backdrop for the speeches and photos of the couple. Every design element reflected the elegance and natural beauty that Charlotte and Curt had in mind.
Additional Floral Touches
The flower girls carried tiny posies of gypsophila, adding sweet, delicate charm to the bridal procession. These smaller arrangements were thoughtfully designed to complement the larger floral installations.
Meanwhile, outside, the couple enjoyed portraits in the luscious gardens of Blackwell Grange. The bridal bouquet set off against the vibrant flower beds and archways provided some fabulous views, matching the beauty of the countryside in the Cotswolds.
